Welcome to Shabddhara Publishing (“Shabddhara”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the terms under which cancellations and refunds are processed for services purchased through https://shabddhara.com.

By purchasing our services, you agree to this policy.

1. Nature of Our Services

Shabddhara Publishing provides customized publishing services, including but not limited to:

  • Book Publishing
  • eBook Publishing
  • Paperback & Hardcover Publishing
  • Cover Design
  • Interior Formatting
  • Typesetting
  • Editing & Proofreading
  • ISBN Assistance
  • Printing Services
  • Distribution Services

As most of our services are personalized and begin after receiving the author’s manuscript, refunds are subject to the conditions below.

2. Order Cancellation

You may request cancellation of your order before work has commenced.

If no work has started, and no resources have been allocated to your project, you may be eligible for a full or partial refund after deducting applicable payment gateway or processing charges.

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email.

3. Cancellation After Work Has Started

Once any of the following activities have begun, cancellation may not be possible or only a partial refund may be considered:

  • Manuscript Review
  • Editing
  • Formatting
  • Cover Design
  • Typesetting
  • ISBN Processing
  • eBook Conversion
  • Printing Preparation
  • Printing
  • Distribution Setup

Charges for work already completed will be deducted before any refund is processed.

4. Non-Refundable Services

The following services are generally non-refundable once work has commenced:

  • Cover Design
  • Editing & Proofreading
  • Interior Formatting
  • Typesetting
  • ISBN Processing Fees
  • eBook Conversion
  • Printing Costs
  • Shipping Charges
  • Custom Design Services
  • Promotional or Marketing Services
  • Any completed digital service

5. Printing Orders

Once books have been printed or dispatched, cancellations and refunds are not available.

If books are received with manufacturing defects or physical damage caused during production, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photographs of the issue. After verification, we may provide a replacement or another appropriate resolution at our discretion.

Minor variations in color, paper texture, trimming, or print finish due to standard printing processes are not considered manufacturing defects.

6. Digital Deliverables

Due to the nature of digital products and services, completed digital files delivered to the customer are non-refundable.

This includes:

  • PDF Files
  • ePub Files
  • MOBI Files
  • Cover Design Files
  • Interior Layout Files
  • Source Files (where provided)

7. Author Approval

Authors are responsible for reviewing all proofs before providing final approval.

Once final approval has been received and publication or printing has proceeded, refunds will not be available for errors that were present in the approved proof.

8. Failed or Duplicate Payments

If a payment fails but the amount is deducted from your account, or if you are charged more than once for the same order, please contact us.

Verified duplicate or unsuccessful transactions will be refunded to the original payment method within a reasonable processing period.

9. Refund Processing

Where a refund is approved:

  • Refunds will be issued using the original payment method whenever possible.
  • Processing time may vary depending on the payment provider or bank.
  • Payment gateway charges, taxes, and charges for completed work may be deducted where applicable.

10. Exceptional Circumstances

Refund requests outside the terms of this policy may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Approval of such requests is solely at the discretion of Shabddhara Publishing and will depend on the specific circumstances.

11. Force Majeure

Shabddhara Publishing shall not be responsible for delays or inability to provide services due to events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, internet failures, strikes, pandemics, or other force majeure events. Such circumstances do not automatically entitle customers to a refund.
